Salt Harvest, one of Aparium's culinary ventures, embodies the essence of Pacific Northwest cuisine, emphasizing rustic and refined hearth-inspired dishes characterized by simplicity, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for local, seasonal ingredients. The kitchen operates on a philosophy of minimalism, letting the quality of ingredients speak for themselves with precision and balance, injecting passion into every culinary creation.

The Cook 1 position is an integral part of the culinary team, working closely alongside the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to develop and execute scratch-made dishes and recipes. This role demands a professional who is continually improving their culinary skills and demonstrates moderate to advanced knowledge in various culinary techniques and ingredient applications. The ideal candidate will be task-oriented and detail-driven, comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced kitchen under the guidance of the Chef and culinary leadership. Respect towards oneself, guests, and colleagues is fundamental, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, humility, and open-mindedness.
The Cook 1 is expected to uphold the company’s core principles of People, Place, and Character by fostering collaboration and embodying a translocal hospitality approach. The successful candidate will work methodically, respecting ingredients, equipment, and workspace cleanliness while preparing dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. They will actively engage in daily briefings and team meetings to maintain transparency and continuous improvement within the culinary team. Further development through feedback sessions with culinary leaders is encouraged, ensuring skill advancement and professional growth.

The Cook 1 role provides a unique opportunity to be part of a community-focused team dedicated to culinary excellence within a supportive and innovative environment. Benefits include paid vacation, Seattle paid sick and safe time, holidays, extensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, pet insurance), a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, paid volunteer time, and commitment to diversity and belonging.
