Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring food is nutritious, appetizing, and prepared according to dietary requirements and resident preferences
- Ensure meals are served in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality, portion control, and presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment by following food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food supplies
- Work closely with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and quality service
- Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed
- Assist with inventory management and help track food supplies
- Report shortages or order needs to the Dietary Manager
- Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents' food preferences, ensuring satisfaction with meals served
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including safe food handling and proper sanitation practices
