Job Description

Red Lobster is a globally recognized seafood restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. Founded originally as a family-owned establishment, Red Lobster has evolved into a vast network of over 500 restaurants dedicated to providing customers with a unique dining experience centered around fresh seafood and coastal cuisine. The company prides itself on more than just its food; it values community connection, quality service, and creating memorable moments for its guests. Each seating in its vast network of restaurants is seen as an extension of its founding passion for seafood, a love that intertwines the culinary arts with the natural bounty of the sea. As an employer, Red Lobster offers competitive salaries, flexible scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits package to support the well-being and growth of its employees. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at affordable weekly rates, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service, anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and employee discounts when dining as a guest. Additionally, Red Lobster is committed to fostering opportunities for career advancement and personal development through training programs and a supportive work environment.

As a Cook at Red Lobster, you will be integral to maintaining the high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction that define the brand. This role involves preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of seafood dishes and other menu items according to established recipes and portion control standards. The Cook position also includes inspecting food preparation and serving areas to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards. You may also be asked to support other kitchen staff or swap roles during peak operating hours to ensure smooth kitchen operations. This position requires physical stamina, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The work shifts typically range from 8 to 12 hours, requiring standing for prolonged periods and safe handling of up to 30 pounds. Red Lobster promotes inclusive hiring practices, committing to equal opportunity employment and accommodating individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. The compensation ranges from $15.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and performance, with part-time employment opportunities available. Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a community that values quality, passion, and inclusivity, making it an excellent choice for those who want to grow professionally while working in a vibrant, supportive setting.
