The role of a Cook at Anthony's is essential in upholding the high standards for food quality and customer satisfaction. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking diverse dishes according to standardized recipes while maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen atmosphere. Working closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff, you will contribute to efficient food production and timely service, especially during busy periods.   • ability to read and speak English to understand recipes, safety instructions, and communicate with team members
  • manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle kitchen tools and stand for long periods
  • knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • capability to follow directions from the Head Chef and work collaboratively within a team

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen environment
  • ability to read and speak English to understand recipes, safety instructions, and communicate with team members
  • manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle kitchen tools and stand for long periods
  • knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • capability to follow directions from the Head Chef and work collaboratively within a team
  • formal culinary training or certification from an accredited institution
  • experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting
  • familiarity with inventory management and food cost control
  • ability to multitask and manage time efficiently during peak service hours
  • additional language skills to support diverse kitchen teams and customer base

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen including utensils, equipment, and workstations
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
  • communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate meal preparation and delivery
  • stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and moving kitchen supplies
  • monitor food stock levels and report shortages or spoilage to management
