Job Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
  • Experience in a high-volume institutional environment
  • Good knife skills and knowledge of food preparation
  • Able to work all areas of the kitchen
  • Stand in kitchen environment for long periods of time
  • Background check required
  • Provide documentation of required health screenings and immunizations including current TB screening (QuantiFERON or equivalent), current Flu vaccination, proof of vaccination or immunity for MMR, Varicella (Chickenpox), Tdap, and Hepatitis B (completed series with positive titer)
  • Medical or religious exemption requests may be submitted with supporting documentation and will be reviewed according to facility policies and laws

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals in a large volume establishment
  • Sauté, grill, fry, and cook ingredients according to food safety guidelines
  • Chop, slice, and wash fruits and vegetables
  • Make salads, desserts, and complete meals
  • May create menus and follow recipes
  • Assist with catering orders and prepare trays for customers
  • Clean the kitchen area, take out trash, mop floors and wipe down the dining area when needed
