The Cook position involves preparing a wide variety of foods by following standardized recipes and production protocols. You will set up your workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment, prepare food items by measuring, mixing, chopping, and weighing, and use various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming on meats, vegetables, and other ingredients. Ensuring food is properly stored and handling is done safely to prevent contamination will be part of your daily responsibilities.
In addition to culinary skills, the role requires maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, equipment, and utensils as per health and safety standards. Excellent customer service skills and a positive demeanor towards guests, clients, and coworkers are also vital. Job Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- demonstrated knowledge of food safety regulations and preparation methods
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- ability to perform basic math

Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- must be able to acquire food safety certification
- demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
- operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
- properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- maintains excellent customer service and a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
- adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- ensures security of company assets
