Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Minimum of one year restaurant or senior living cooking experience
  • Able to stand or walk for up to eight hours per day
  • Able to bend, stoop, and stretch frequently
  • Manual dexterity for preparing food
  • Ability to use standard industrial kitchen appliances
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs independently
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures and industrial cleaning chemicals
  • Able to see, hear, and communicate with others

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Minimum one year of restaurant or senior living cooking experience
  • Knowledge of cooking preparation and production
  • Ability to use standard industrial kitchen appliances
  • Manual dexterity in food preparation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand or walk up to eight hours per day
  • Good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare all food items according to standardized recipes
  • Adhere to food safety, quality, appearance, and presentation standards
  • Produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria
  • Assist with serving meals and ware washing
  • Evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance by visiting residents
  • Make operational revisions to improve food service
