The Restaurant Cook position at Life Time is a dynamic role designed for individuals passionate about preparing wholesome, health-conscious food in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. This role involves working with like-minded colleagues who prioritize fresh, nutritious menu offerings. The cook is responsible for producing high-quality food menu items following established recipes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall cleanliness and operational flow of the kitchen and Bistro areas. This hourly position starts with a competitive wage ranging from $18.75 up to $22.25, depending on experience and qualifications, offering a rewarding opportunity for those eager to grow within a vibrant health and wellness organization.

In this role, the cook will be integral to maintaining the high standards of food quality and kitchen safety that Life Time is known for. Duties include preparing food items consistent with recipes, managing food production flow alongside other stations such as sandwich and salad areas, and ensuring the kitchen environment remains clean and well-stocked. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to food safety protocols, such as obtaining ServSafe and CPR/AED certifications within required timeframes. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
  • Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time
  • ServSafe certification required within the first 90 days of hire
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in restaurant with fast casual or full service experience
  • Experience prepping recipes

Job Duties

  • Adheres to the daily needs for the Bistro, including, but not limited to, stocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety of kitchen
  • Maintains LifeCafe and kitchen cleanliness, including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, cleaning kitchen equipment, and washing dishes
  • Manages the flow of food production in conjunction with the sandwich and salad stations
  • Follows recipes to ensure consistency, freshness, and quality of ingredients while preparing food
