The Cook position at Sodexo, located at Cox Enterprises UPA in Sandy Springs, offers a full-time employment opportunity with a pay range of $17.75 to $18.00 per hour. This role is essential in upholding Sodexo's culinary standards and delivering consistently high-quality food service to clients. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold food items during all meal periods and special events. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment, the Cook supports Sodexo's overall commitment to food safety, quality, and sanitation standards. Duties include following basic recipes, seasoning and cooking diverse food items, tasting products to ensure quality, estimating production needs, and maintaining inventory records. The role requires significant physical stamina, including the ability to walk or stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and safely lift up to 50 pounds. Punctuality, reliability, and a collaborative spirit are vital as the Cook contributes to effective teamwork and maintains a clean, organized workspace.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- 0 to 2 years of related work experience
- knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- good working knowledge of food preparation
- familiarity with kitchen equipment
- must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised
