Anchored by a powerful mission to "improve the health of people in the communities we serve," LifeBridge Health operates with an unwavering commitment to innovation, compassionate care, and community-focused services. This health system encompasses more than 14,000 employees and operates out of approximately 130 care locations, serving millions of patients annually. The organization’s flagship centers include Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Grace Medical Center, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, and Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital. United by the core values encapsulated in the motto CARE BRAVELY—Compassion, Courage, and Urgency—LifeBridge Health empowers its employees to drive positive healthcare outcomes and transform the patient experience across a broad spectrum of services.

The Northwest Hospital branch located in Randallstown, MD, is currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join its dietary department. This full-time role features rotating shifts with varying hours, offering a competitive hourly wage range of $17.00 to $24.75 based on experience and expertise. The position is within the Support Services division and offers the potential for a $1000 sign-on bonus, enhancing its appeal for qualified candidates.

As a Cook at Northwest Hospital, the incumbent plays an essential role in the healthcare delivery team by preparing, displaying, and serving food items intended for patients, cafeteria patrons, and special functions within the hospital. The role demands adherence to high standards of sanitation and safety to ensure the well-being of patients and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Cook is responsible for producing hot and cold food using standardized recipes and careful portion control to minimize waste. This position requires collaboration with Cafeteria Cooks and Special Function Aides to review portion sizes and ensure a consistent and high-quality dining experience for all who rely on the hospital’s dietary services.

The Cook will also prepare baked goods for patient services and special events, contributing to the overall culinary offerings available within the hospital environment. Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to maintain food safety standards such as proper cooking temperatures are critical components of the role. Candidates with 1 to 3 years of culinary experience and a Serve Safe Food Handler certification are preferred, reinforcing the health system’s emphasis on skill, safety, and patient care.

LifeBridge Health supports its employees through a culture rooted in collaboration and professional growth. Employees have access to unit-based practice councils, advanced clinical education, and tuition reimbursement opportunities. This support ensures employees can continuously improve their skills and advance their careers. In addition, the hospital offers comprehensive health plans, wellness programs, free parking, and competitive compensation packages that include opportunities for overtime, shift differentials, premium pay, and bonuses.

LifeBridge Health is an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity and inclusiveness, complying with all applicable federal civil rights laws. The organization is committed to treating everyone with fairness and respect, regardless of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
