Job Description

First Watch is a leading daytime dining restaurant brand renowned for its dedication to serving made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients available. Established with a strong commitment to quality, hospitality, and community, First Watch operates over 630 locations across 32 states in the United States, representing a trusted and beloved name in the daytime dining industry. The restaurant's unique "Follow the Sun" culinary philosophy ensures that the menu is chef-driven and regularly updated throughout the year, offering customers elevated versions of classic breakfast and lunch favorites alongside innovative dishes crafted from peak-season ingredients. Signature offerings like the Kale Tonic fresh juice, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Quinoa Power Bowl, and the famed Million Dollar Bacon have earned First Watch numerous accolades including "Best Breakfast" and "Best Brunch" awards. Most notably, First Watch was voted #1 Best Breakfast by Newsweek's Readers' Choice Awards in 2025 and was recognized in both 2024 and 2025 as the #1 Most Loved Workplace in America by the Best Practice Institute. This prestigious recognition underscores First Watch's YOU FIRST philosophy, a core cultural value centered on putting employees' well-being and happiness as a top priority. This philosophy drives a supportive and empowering work environment where every team member has the autonomy to make excellent decision on providing exceptional customer experience.

About the Role: First Watch is seeking dedicated Back-of-the-House team members who have a passion for quality food and take pride in their work, treating each dish as if placing a personal signature on every plate. The role primarily focuses on cooking and preparing meals with care, adhering closely to award-winning recipes created by First Watch's professional chefs. Newly hired cooks will receive station-specific training geared toward their level of comfort and innate skills, so prior mastery of all kitchen techniques is not mandatory unless desired. The position requires teamwork, communication skills, and responsibility for delivering safe, high-quality food in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of their cooking station. This full-time role offers competitive benefits including health insurance, dental and vision coverage, telemedicine access, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) retirement plans, generous meal discounts, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and much more. First Watch also emphasizes a healthy work-life balance by eliminating night shifts and fostering positive employee relations. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to work within a well-respected national restaurant brand known for its superior food and outstanding employee culture.
