Job Requirements
- Must have excellent communication and organizational, time management, and leadership skills
- Extensive familiarity with fryer, char broiler, flat-top, hot-well, wok station, steamers, convection oven, walk in cooler and freezer, assortment of knives, mandolin, etc, training provided
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Working in a high volume kitchen for at least 2 years
- Must possess the ability to obtain a Minnesota Racing Commission gaming license
- This position must have, or an ability to acquire within one year, an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of company policy and procedures, state regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to handle frequent walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting, bending and lifting, pushing and pulling
- Ability to lift up to 35 to 50lbs regularly
- Must be able to work flexible shifts in a crowded, noisy, hot and humid environment
- Must be present onsite for this position
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Working in a high volume kitchen for at least 2 years
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
- Ability to obtain a Minnesota Racing Commission gaming license
- Knowledge of company policy, state regulations and technical rules relevant to responsibilities or ability to acquire this within one year
Job Duties
- Following instructions of the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs
- Preparing orders quickly and efficiently to menu specifications
- Rotates inventory and ensures freshness of product at all times
- Refill items that require prepping and make sure stations are stocked
- Ability to prepare all recipes pertaining to current food menu
- Possess thorough knowledge of the current menu items for all stations
- Use creativity with specials
- Knowledgeable on all equipment and how to clean them
- RTI filtering fryers on a consistent basis
- Ensure setup for the following shift is complete
