Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cook or food preparation experience preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical activities for extended periods
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products
  • Completion of approved sanitation and safety course may be required
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required based on local law
  • Residency within the service area required

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions
  • Maintain a positive attitude and effective communication with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
  • Able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
  • Experience working around food and cleaning products
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification based on State or County law
  • Residency within the service area

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
  • Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
