Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous cook or food preparation experience preferred
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions
Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to perform physical activities for extended periods
Ability to work around food and cleaning products
Completion of approved sanitation and safety course may be required
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required based on local law
Residency within the service area required

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions
Maintain a positive attitude and effective communication with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership
Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
Able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
Experience working around food and cleaning products
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification based on State or County law
Residency within the service area

Job Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen
Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service
Perform all other duties as assigned
