The KFC location at 8221 W. Broward Blvd in Plantation, FL is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Team Members to join their staff. This role is a fundamental position within the restaurant, ideal for individuals interested in gaining experience in the fast-paced food service industry. Employment with KFC at this location is generally on a part-time or full-time basis, with shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, catering to a flexible work schedule.
The Team Member role involves food preparation and customer service responsibilities. Team Members are primarily responsible for preparing KFC's signature chicken according to strict quality and safety standards. They operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, griddles, or deep fryers to ensure each order is cooked fresh or kept warm until served. Team Members prepare ingredients by washing and cutting food products, following specific instructions from food orders either through slips or verbal communication to confirm accuracy and quality.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment is essential in this role. Team Members uphold sanitation, health, and safety standards in all food preparation areas, including cooking stations and utensil handling. In addition to food preparation, Team Members support overall restaurant operations by performing other assigned duties as needed.
Successful candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear interaction with team members and supervisors. They should have or be willing to learn necessary food-handling techniques, workplace sanitation, and safety regulations to comply with industry standards. The ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast-paced setting while working cooperatively within a team environment is crucial.
KFC encourages candidates with a high school education or vocational coursework in kitchen basics, such as food safety, although this is preferred and not mandatory. Physical requirements include the ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends, and the capability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Job Duties
- Prepares world-famous chicken that is cooked to order or kept warm until ordered and sold
- Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as griddles, grills, or deep fryers
- Prepares, washes, and cuts food to be cooked
- Prepares and cooks food according to instructions provided on food order slips or through verbal directions
- Verifies the quality and quantity of all orders
- Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils
- Performs other related duties as assigned
