Currently, Cadence Education is seeking a passionate Cook to join their vibrant childcare team. This role involves preparing delicious, nutritious, kid-friendly meals and snacks that fuel school-age children’s adventures throughout their day. The Cook position is critical to maintaining the energy levels and health of the children, ensuring they receive balanced meals that align with USDA guidelines. The Cook will be responsible for meal preparation, kitchen organization, food and supply storage management, meal service to classrooms, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen operation. Additionally, the role may entail supporting extra tasks such as laundry, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing toys, demonstrating a team-oriented and flexible approach. Physical stamina is required as the role involves some lifting. Ideal candidates will have experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education settings, a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old, and meet all state preschool cook requirements. Preferred qualifications include holding a current Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification.
