The organization emphasizes a culture of kindness, dignity, and respect and prides itself on having an extraordinary team of associates who contribute to the well-being and satisfaction of those they serve. With a focus on fostering a supportive workplace, Benedictine provides opportunities for personal and professional growth to its team members while emphasizing the importance of community and collaboration in senior care settings.
As a Cook at Benedictine, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents by creating nutritious and appealing dining experiences. You will be responsible for creating meals that not only nourish but also bring joy and comfort to our residents, many of whom have unique dietary considerations as part of their overall health care.
Your role will include adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment. This commitment to safety is crucial in maintaining the health and trust of our residents and their families. In addition, you will actively engage in culinary training programs that support your continuous development and improvement, as well as help onboard new hires to maintain and enhance the quality of our kitchen team. Working with senior populations requires a unique set of interpersonal skills, patience, and a caring attitude, all of which are valued and nurtured at Benedictine.
This position offers a competitive salary range between $20.61 and $22.76, reflecting the importance of the role within the organization. Benedictine provides a comprehensive benefits package to eligible associates, including paid time off, retirement plans, medical, dental, and vision insurance, education assistance, and a variety of voluntary benefits designed to support associates throughout their careers and lives.
