North Cascades Health and Rehabilitation Center is looking to hire a dedicated Cook for part-time weekend shifts from 5am to 1pm. This role is integral to the dietary department, supporting their enhanced dining program which prioritizes healthy, delicious, and enjoyable meals for residents. The cook will be responsible for preparing pre-planned cycle menus efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, taste, and safety. This includes performing food prep tasks, reading production orders on tray cards, organizing cooking schedules to ensure timely meal services, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen area. Job Requirements
- valid Food Handlers card or ability to obtain one
- ability to work weekend shifts from 5am to 1pm
- capacity to perform moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
- knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices

- ability to read and understand production orders
