Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in the United States, founded in 1983 in Glendale, California. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda offers exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering a workplace culture that values family and community. The company emphasizes the growth and success of its team members, creating opportunities for career and leadership development. Panda's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures a respectful and supportive environment for all associates. They provide competitive pay, flexible schedules, and a comprehensive benefits package, supporting employee well-being and professional growth.

The role of a Cook at Panda is a dynamic and integral position within the kitchen. As a Cook, you will lead by example, demonstrating passion for food preparation and dedication to service quality. This role involves preparing dishes to meet precise company recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in every meal served. You will play a vital part in maintaining a vibrant and welcoming environment for guests, contributing to the restaurant's atmosphere and guest satisfaction. Beyond food preparation, you will assist in guiding and training other kitchen team members, helping to maintain a high-performing and cohesive team. This position requires adapting to a fast-paced setting, managing multiple kitchen tasks efficiently while upholding hygiene and safety standards.

Being a Panda Cook means more than just handling food; it is about embodying the company’s values through your work ethic and teamwork. The job demands standing for extended periods, working in a lively, sometimes noisy kitchen environment, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ability to work quickly and accurately with kitchen tools, such as Chinese cook knives, is essential. Employees must also have strong communication skills to navigate changing priorities and occasional conflicts in the kitchen. Full-time associates are eligible for a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans with company match, paid time off, and ongoing career development programs. Panda also values community involvement and offers opportunities for employees to give back.

Panda Restaurant Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination and offers reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities.
