Job Description
Our establishment is a family-run community dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Rooted in the values of compassion and teamwork, our community thrives by fostering a nurturing environment not just for those we serve but also for the people who make it all possible. We understand that the heart of quality care lies in the commitment and passion of our staff, which is why we prioritize taking care of our team members as much as we do our residents. This approach creates a workplace filled with mutual respect, appreciation, and a shared sense of purpose. As a family-owned entity, we pride ourselves on maintaining close-knit relationships, transparent communication, and a culture that feels like home to everyone involved. Our company is known for its stable presence in the community, commitment to long-term employee growth, and dedication to enhancing the lives of all who enter our doors through comprehensive and compassionate care.
We are currently seeking passionate cooks to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for individuals who either have professional culinary experience or are eager to embark on a rewarding culinary journey within a supportive environment. The position is full-time and offers a competitive hourly wage based on your culinary skills and experience. Our team members benefit from an extensive benefits package and supportive work atmosphere that values dedication and creativity in the culinary arts.
In this position, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of preparing vibrant, home-cooked meals for both our residents and staff. The role demands strong attention to detail, a deep respect for food safety and quality, and the ability to follow recipes with precision while emphasizing timing, portion control, and beautiful presentation. Successful candidates will have expertise in various cooking techniques such as braising, stewing, baking, roasting, grilling, and sautéing, complemented by skills in pastry, frying, butchering, stock making, and bread baking. Your work ethic will reflect a commitment to maintaining an organized and sanitary kitchen environment with a "clean as you go" mentality, ensuring the kitchen remains a safe and welcoming space.
Additionally, you will prepare modified and therapeutic diets tailored to meet the specific allergy and dietary needs of our residents, underscoring our dedication to personalized care. The position requires flexibility in working shifts, including afternoons and full-day shifts, with full weekend availability. We believe this schedule is essential to maintaining consistent, high-quality services for our community at all times.
Beyond the daily responsibilities, we offer a robust package of benefits designed to support the health, financial security, and overall well-being of our team members. These benefits include no-cost health insurance options through Kaiser Gold, a Health Savings Account with substantial employer contributions, dental and vision coverage, short and long-term disability insurance, life and dismemberment insurance, and a 401k matching program. We also provide perks such as free meals during work hours, paid sick and personal leave, vacation time, transportation and commute assistance, and opportunities to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to support your professional growth.
Joining our team means becoming part of a community that genuinely values your contributions and supports your career development while enabling you to make a meaningful impact on the wellbeing of our residents through your culinary skills. If you are passionate about food and care about making a difference, we encourage you to apply and become a valued member of our family-oriented team.
