Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in food preparation or cooking
ability to supervise kitchen staff
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
strong attention to detail
physical ability to stand for extended periods
flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role
ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
knowledge of sanitation and health regulations
strong organizational and multitasking skills
ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
effective communication skills
supervisory experience preferred

Job Duties

Prepare and cook orders for daily operations
advise supervisor of low inventory items
assist in receiving items and taking inventory as required
maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed the state and local Health Board inspection and Sonesta requirements
maintain a clean, neat, and well-organized work area, including but not limited to reach-ins, walk-ins and counters
report all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
may assist by performing dishwasher or other kitchen duties as needed
promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
occasionally interact directly with guests
may assist with other duties as assigned
