Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food preparation or cooking
- ability to supervise kitchen staff
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong attention to detail
- physical ability to stand for extended periods
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role
- ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
- knowledge of sanitation and health regulations
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- effective communication skills
- supervisory experience preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook orders for daily operations
- advise supervisor of low inventory items
- assist in receiving items and taking inventory as required
- maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed the state and local Health Board inspection and Sonesta requirements
- maintain a clean, neat, and well-organized work area, including but not limited to reach-ins, walk-ins and counters
- report all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
- may assist by performing dishwasher or other kitchen duties as needed
- promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- occasionally interact directly with guests
- may assist with other duties as assigned
