Job Description
Trilogy at Tehaleh, located in Bonney Lake, Washington, offers residents and members an exquisite resort-style living experience characterized by breathtaking views of protected forest preserves and the iconic Mount Rainier. Central to this community is the Seven Summits Lodge, which serves as an exclusive private club for discerning members. The lodge encompasses a variety of dedicated spaces including elegant dining areas, wellness and fitness centers, game rooms, and relaxation zones, all designed to foster a vibrant and engaging social atmosphere. As part of the Trilogy community, the lodge reflects not only luxury living but also a commitment to exceptional service and community spirit.
The Cook 1 position at Seven Summits Lodge is a vital role within the Food and Beverage Team, responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of high-quality food offerings. Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager and Director of Food & Beverage, this part-time role requires flexibility and dedication as it includes working lunch and dinner shifts from Wednesday through Sunday. The pay range for this position is between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of skill and experience required to uphold the lodge’s high culinary and service standards.
This role entails mastery of a specific kitchen station, allowing the Cook 1 to take full responsibility for their area, demonstrating accountability for their decisions and actions. A key expectation is the consistent delivery of superior service that satisfies both guests and team members alike, with a proactive attitude aimed at exceeding guest satisfaction. Responsibilities span from daily adherence to cleanliness and sanitation protocols through dedicated checklists, to skilled food preparation—from washing and cutting fresh produce to baking, roasting, and portioning meals in an attractive and appetizing manner.
A successful candidate will be competent in various cooking techniques, able to interpret recipes accurately, and have a strong attention to detail when testing and presenting food. The kitchen environment at Seven Summits Lodge offers exposure to state-of-the-art kitchen equipment such as ovens, steam kettles, grills, and more, demanding adaptability, stamina, and a commitment to safety. While primarily operating indoors, the role may also include outdoor event food preparation and service, requiring readiness to work under varying weather conditions and navigate diverse outdoor settings.
Candidates should be self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and possess strong teamwork and leadership skills to support a collaborative work environment. Personal attributes valued within the team include honesty, integrity, respect for individuals, competitive spirit, and a commitment to the core values of BlueStar Resort & Golf. These principles guide every employee's conduct and interaction, ensuring a cohesive, productive, and positive workplace culture.
Particularly attractive to those seeking flexible employment, this position offers potential growth into full-time employment based on performance and operational needs. Part-time employees working 30 hours or more per week become eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan after fulfilling specific service requirements. This positions the Cook 1 role as not only an employment opportunity but a pathway to a rewarding career with a well-respected and established employer committed to the wellbeing and professional development of its staff.
