Job Description
Invited is a leading company in the hospitality and private club industry, operating since 1957 with a mission to build relationships and enrich the lives of its members, guests, and employees. As the largest owner and operator of private clubs nationwide, Invited manages more than 130 country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs. Each club offers a wide range of first-class amenities, including championship golf courses, modern workspaces, handcrafted cuisine, resort-style pools, state-of-the-art racquet facilities, and fitness centers. The company values inclusion and teamwork, making it an exciting place for individuals who want to be part of a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
The Cook 1 role at Invited is an entry-level kitchen position that plays a fundamental part in supporting kitchen operations. The Cook 1 is responsible for the set-up, preparation, and organization of their workstation while focusing on basic food preparation tasks under the mentorship and supervision of more experienced cooks such as Cook 2 or Cook 3 team members. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within the workstation and kitchen areas, ensuring proper food storage, and assisting in the preparation of various food and beverage items following Invited's quality and presentation standards.
In addition to food preparation, a Cook 1 communicates effectively with kitchen leadership such as the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef, to address any special product needs or issues related to food quality or presentation. They also engage professionally with members and guests, accommodating special requests, and contributing positively to the member dining experience. The position requires a willingness to learn and adapt to the fast-paced environment of a private club kitchen, often stepping up to support fellow team members and fulfilling additional duties as assigned by management.
This role also demands adherence to safety guidelines and company policies, aiming to uphold a high level of professionalism and excellence in all interactions. The Cook 1 role is vital in ensuring seamless kitchen operations, supporting the preparation of daily specials, salads, entrees, and other menu items. Flexibility to work additional hours, including weekends and holidays, is expected to meet the needs of the club and its members. Being part of Invited means joining a company that not only offers a vibrant workplace but also provides opportunities for personal and professional growth, a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, and an inclusive culture dedicated to success and member satisfaction.
