As part of Marriott International, Gaylord Hotels offers a compelling workplace where culture, creativity, and guest service excellence come together to create memorable moments. This brand focuses on delivering extraordinary environments and programming that foster connections and elevate events beyond expectations. At Gaylord Hotels, employees, called STARs, are recognized for their entrepreneurial spirit, creative mindset, and dedication to big-hearted service. Marriott International emphasizes an inclusive workplace, embracing diversity and actively promoting equal opportunity at every level. The company is committed to non-discrimination and values the unique talents and backgrounds of all its associates, fostering an environment that celebrates individual contributions, culture, and innovation.

The position of Meet Group Coordinator/Host(ess) at Gaylord Hotels entails a vital role in ensuring seamless and exceptional experiences for banquet and event guests. This role primarily involves pre-function coordination, where the coordinator meets with group contacts to introduce themselves and confirm event arrangements, ensuring all details conform to expectations and specific needs. Follow-up responsibilities include ensuring compliance with predefined arrangements and resolving any arising concerns promptly. The role also demands unwavering adherence to company policies regarding safety, security, and professionalism. Coordinators must maintain a polished personal appearance and uphold confidentiality while protecting company assets. Exceptional guest service is a cornerstone of this role, encompassing greeting and acknowledging guests in accordance with company standards, anticipating needs, communicating clearly and professionally, and fostering a positive team environment. Physical demands include the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended shifts, maneuver through confined or uneven spaces, and handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds. As a critical member of the events team at Gaylord Hotels, the Meet Group Coordinator/Host(ess) contributes not only to guest satisfaction but also to the overall operational success and quality service standards for which the brand is known.
