Our company operates a high-volume convenience store that encompasses a dynamic multi-concept food service operation right inside the retail environment. As our General Manager, you will have a pivotal role in overseeing this multi-faceted business ecosystem. This role requires a unique blend of retail and food service leadership, presenting an opportunity to manage and grow a complex operation that blends convenience retailing with quick-service dining. You will be responsible for ensuring the profitability and smooth operation of both the retail floor and multiple food brands operating under one roof. You will be directly accountable for the entire store's P&L, driving sales growth while maintaining strict control over labor costs, inventory shrinkage, food waste, margins, and food costs. Building and nurturing a high-performing, motivated team is central to your responsibilities, as you will recruit, train, and mentor a diverse group of employees, including assistant managers, shift leads, cashiers, and food service crews. Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of progressive management experience in retail or QSR
- Proven leadership skills managing teams of 15 or more employees
- Strong financial acumen with knowledge of retail and food service metrics
- Current or attainable ServSafe Manager Certification within 30 days
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of progressive management experience in high-volume convenience stores, big box retail, or quick-service restaurants
- Proven track record of managing teams of 15+ employees, reducing turnover, and developing shift leaders into managers
- Deep understanding of retail and food service metrics such as COGS, labor percentage, yield tracking, gross profit margins, and inventory turnover
- Current ServSafe Manager Certification or equivalent is highly desirable or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
