Construction Safety Specialist

This role focuses on ensuring safety compliance and promoting best practices during construction projects, particularly in the data center sector, although prior data center experience is advantageous but not mandatory. The Construction Safety Specialist will primarily be involved in on-site activities, conducting regular field verifications to ensure contractor work aligns with project safety protocols and regulatory standards. The role requires frequent engagement with various trade partners and contractors to identify hazards, provide safety coaching, review safety documentation, and support overall project health and safety objectives. With a strong emphasis on Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety, the position demands a candidate who possesses solid technical knowledge and hands-on experience in overseeing high-risk construction activities such as energized work, work at heights, heavy lifting, confined space entry, and equipment operation.\n\nBeyond field oversight, the Specialist will actively engage in supporting and delivering safety training initiatives, participating in toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and other communication forums to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement. The role also involves maintaining meticulous documentation of safety interactions, observations, coaching sessions, and follow-up actions to ensure accurate reporting and accountability.
