The College offers a dynamic environment where collaboration, leadership, and continuous improvement are key components to its success and impact on healthcare both locally and globally.

The role of Conference-Event Manager I at the College of Nursing is a critical position responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of a broad array of high-impact events that significantly contribute to advancing the College’s mission, visibility, and engagement with diverse stakeholders. This full-time staff position, based at the University's main campus in Gainesville, FL, offers an annual salary range of $70,000 to $80,000, reflecting the importance and seniority of this role.

You will manage event registration processes, attendee communications, and hospitality services, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for all participants. Acting as the primary point of contact for vendors and internal departments, you will foster strong relationships that support every facet of event success.

Financial stewardship is another critical aspect of this role. You will develop and manage event budgets in collaboration with the College’s leadership and Finance team, ensuring diligent expense tracking, invoice processing, and resource optimization without compromising event quality. Additionally, you will identify and pursue sponsorship and partnership opportunities to enhance event funding and reach.

Collaboration with the marketing and communications team will allow you to drive effective event promotion strategies, utilizing digital marketing, invitations, media outreach, and content creation for diverse platforms like websites and social media. This role also requires a strong focus on assessment and continuous improvement. You will design and implement post-event surveys and metrics analysis, delivering insightful reports with actionable recommendations. By applying data-driven feedback, you will refine event processes, elevate attendee experiences, and align future events more closely with strategic objectives.

Finally, the position necessitates close partnership with faculty, administrative leadership, alumni relations, advancement offices, and external organizations.
