Recognized repeatedly as a Great Place to Work by Activated Insights, Sunrise Senior Living boasts a strong workplace culture that celebrates the unique contributions of each team member and supports their growth and fulfillment. This commitment to excellence is reflected in its approach to care, service, and community engagement, making it a trusted name among seniors and their families. Their certified Great Place to Work status, achieved nine times, underscores the positive work environment and collaborative culture within Sunrise communities.
Located at Sunrise of West Essex, the Concierge role plays a vital part in the daily operations and guest experience of the community. As the first point of contact, the Concierge sets the tone for visitors, families, residents, and potential new hires entering the community. This role requires a warm, approachable individual who can manage multi-faceted responsibilities, from greeting guests and visitors, answering calls promptly, to supporting the sales and marketing efforts conducted in tandem with the Director of Sales and Executive Director.
The Concierge also oversees the Bistro area, ensuring it remains welcoming and well-maintained, and supports administrative activities including data entry and recruitment assistance. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a genuine passion for service. The Concierge champions safety protocols, risk management standards, and acts as a guardian of community well-being, ensuring that all resident and visitor interactions optimize safety and comfort.
In addition to customer service duties, the Concierge actively participates in marketing initiatives by handling initial inquiries and assisting in lead tracking, helping to foster interest in community living at Sunrise. The role also involves various administrative responsibilities crucial to daily operations such as updating resident lists, managing mail, processing meal tickets, and maintaining office supplies.
Sunrise Senior Living offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability plans, retirement savings options, employee assistance programs, paid time off, and innovative pay solutions like myFlexPay which provides payment within hours of a shift. Tuition reimbursement and performance-based bonuses further enhance the value of working at Sunrise.
Employment is subject to pre-employment screenings and health evaluations to protect the health and safety of residents, families, and staff. This may include Covid-19 and influenza vaccination requirements based on applicable regulations.
This Concierge position presents an excellent opportunity for candidates with customer service experience and proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office and proprietary Sunrise software, to join a dedicated team committed to making a meaningful difference in senior living.
