Job Description
Brookfield Properties is a leading real estate company renowned for its diverse portfolio of residential living options that cater to various stages of life. The company prides itself on offering unparalleled quality, service, and support to its residents, ensuring a superior living experience across its properties. Based at Waterside Plaza in New York, Brookfield Properties is committed to creating communities where residents feel valued and well-served. The company embraces a philosophy that recognizes the uniqueness of each resident's needs and lifestyle, avoiding a "one-size-fits-all" approach to residential living.
This particular role is a Concierge position located at 30 Waterside Plaza, designed to provide exceptional service to property residents and visitors. The concierge is a pivotal part of the community experience, acting as the welcoming face of the building and managing the flow of guests. This position requires a warm, friendly demeanor combined with strong organizational skills. The concierge is responsible for greeting residents and visitors, managing entrance traffic, and maintaining a secure, welcoming environment. The role entails maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local services and events, assisting residents with making reservations, handling service requests, and liaising effectively with service contractors to ensure maintenance and other requests are executed appropriately. Additionally, the concierge communicates proactively with residents and their families to address questions or concerns, fostering an environment of open and responsive communication.
The position also involves planning and executing social and recreational programs, such as movie nights and game events, to enhance community engagement and provide residents with enjoyable activities. Attention to detail in managing lobby information boards and assisting residents with package handling further underscores the concierge's role as a key point of contact within the community. Brookfield Properties offers this position on a schedule that includes afternoon and evening shifts from Sunday through Saturday, with specific days off, ensuring coverage during peak hours to best serve residents’ needs. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from $22.29 to $29.72 per hour, aligned with the Union contract agreements.
Brookfield Properties values its employees and strives to create a supportive work environment characterized by excellent benefits and incentives. The company offers a full benefits package, generous paid time off, and opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization. Employees also enjoy an incredible rental discount for living on-site at one of the company’s beautiful properties, offering both convenience and financial benefit. This comprehensive approach to employee well-being and work-life balance illustrates Brookfield Properties’ commitment to its team members as much as it does to its residents. As an equal opportunity employer, the company welcomes diversity and inclusiveness across all levels of its workforce, supporting a drug-free workplace and compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
