The Concierge Security Officer position at GardaWorld Security Services in Canton, OH, offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a natural ability to engage with people and provide reassuring security services in environments such as office towers, hotels, and shopping centers. This role is essential in ensuring not only the safety and protection of individuals and property but also enhancing the overall customer experience through outstanding service. As a concierge security officer, you will be the face of GardaWorld, tasked with welcoming visitors, verifying identities, and managing access controls with professionalism and courtesy.
This full-time role offers flexible shift options including a Friday through Sunday split shift from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Wednesday 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., as well as a Thursday through Monday 3rd shift from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. GardaWorld provides a competitive hourly wage of $18.16, along with access to DailyPay, which allows employees to receive wages in advance if needed. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, paid time off, paid holidays, disability coverage, and life insurance options. Uniforms are supplied at no cost to ensure employees are professional and prepared on duty.
The concierge security officer’s daily responsibilities include customer service duties such as welcoming and guiding visitors, managing access control, conducting regular patrols to identify potential risks, inspecting security equipment, responding to incidents, providing first aid, coordinating with emergency teams, and writing detailed incident reports. This role requires exceptional communication skills as you will be answering questions both in person and over the phone. The ability to build meaningful connections and inspire confidence in those you interact with is paramount.
Ideal candidates are authorized to work in the U.S., possess a high school diploma or GED, and can successfully pass a thorough screening process. Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement fields is highly advantageous but not mandatory. Additionally, a state security license is required if applicable. Proficiency in basic phone and computer skills coupled with excellent customer service abilities are essential for success in this role.
