Job Description
URBN Playground is a full-service amenity management, consulting, technology, and staffing firm headquartered in New York City. Driven by a passion for human-centered amenity management, URBN Playground focuses on creating experiences, lifestyles, and moments that foster connection and community within cities, neighborhoods, and residential buildings. Their approach combines innovative technology with personalized service to enhance the living experience for residents and build vibrant community environments. URBN Playground prides itself on its dedication to quality service, relationship building, and creating welcoming spaces that residents are proud to call home.
The Residential Concierge role offered by URBN Playground is a dynamic hospitality position based within a residential building setting, designed to provide residents with an exceptional living experience. As the first point of contact for residents and visitors, the concierge will be instrumental in establishing a warm, hospitable atmosphere through personalized interactions and attentive service. This role is vital in maintaining the security, comfort, and satisfaction of residents while fostering a sense of community within the building and the surrounding neighborhood.
Working shifts on Sunday 3pm-11pm, Monday 3pm-11pm, and Friday 7am-3pm, the role offers a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. The Residential Concierge will greet residents by name, manage guest and delivery access, offer guidance on building events, and assist residents with using the URBN mobile app to access unique building services. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, high-level computer competence, and an engaging personality able to connect meaningfully with a diverse resident base and staff. Those with prior hospitality or residential concierge experience will find the role a fitting opportunity to leverage their skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
The position also involves monitoring building security, managing package deliveries, conducting site rounds, and addressing resident concerns professionally and efficiently. This role demands high attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Additional skills such as proficiency in multiple languages or familiarity with property management software will be advantageous. The company culture emphasizes collaboration, inclusivity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, making this role perfect for candidates who thrive in community-focused, customer-oriented environments and who are passionate about enhancing residents' living experiences.
