Job Description
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, a luxury brand within Marriott International, is renowned worldwide for delivering unparalleled hospitality and sophisticated service. With over 50 premium properties globally, it blends classic elegance with contemporary style, setting the benchmark for luxury accommodations and exceptional guest experiences. Founded by John Jacob Astor IV in the early 1900s with the opening of the original St. Regis Hotel in New York, the brand has since maintained its reputation for bespoke service, epitomized by its signature Butler Service. St. Regis is part of Marriott International's impressive portfolio, a global leader in the hospitality industry that fosters a diverse and inclusive environment where employees' unique talents and backgrounds are valued and celebrated.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of the St. Regis family, a place where employees do their best work, find purpose, and belong to a global team dedicated to excellence. The position is designed for individuals passionate about hospitality and committed to providing impeccable service in a luxury hotel setting. Key responsibilities include responding promptly and professionally to guest requests, such as arranging transportation, dining reservations, or dry cleaning services, demonstrating a high level of attentiveness and personalized care. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in enhancing the guest experience by ensuring special needs and unique requests are met with efficiency and warmth.
As part of this position, the employee will gather and provide detailed information regarding the hotel amenities, local attractions, special events, and activities to guests, serving as a knowledgeable resource to enhance their stay. Handling all guest communications—calls, messages, requests, and concerns—is essential, alongside coordinating with various hotel departments like Bell Services and Housekeeping to resolve any issues swiftly. Monitoring the club lounge for guest comfort, safety, and service quality is also part of the daily duties, helping maintain the high standards St. Regis is known for.
The role requires a dedication to safety protocols, including reporting incidents and completing all necessary training and certifications. Employees are expected to uphold company policies, present a professional appearance, and protect the confidentiality and assets of the brand. Exceptional interpersonal skills are vital, with a focus on welcoming guests warmly, anticipating their needs, assisting guests with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation.
Communication skills are crucial, necessitating professionalism in verbal and written forms and proper telephone etiquette. Teamwork and positive working relationships with colleagues are highly valued, supporting a collaborative environment aimed at delivering consistent quality assurance standards.
Physical demands of the job include the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and handle objects up to 10 pounds. The company fosters equal employment opportunities, embracing diversity and ensuring non-discrimination for all applicants and employees.
Overall, this role at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts represents a career pathway for those who seek to excel in luxury hospitality and desire a dynamic, rewarding workplace that encourages growth and celebrates employee individuality.
