Job Description
The Community Concierge role is a vital part of the Property Management department at a progressive residential property management company dedicated to delivering exceptional resident and prospect experiences. The company operates within the real estate industry, specifically focusing on residential property management, where providing outstanding customer service and maintaining vibrant community environments are top priorities. With a commitment to fostering welcoming and engaging living spaces, the company empowers its team members to act as liaisons between residents and management, reinforcing the community culture and driving resident satisfaction.
This position, categorized as non-exempt, typically works 40 hours per week, with hours scheduled from 1 pm to 9 pm Wednesday through Sunday. The role is essential in elevating the overall resident experience by offering various services and programs designed to engage and support the community. The Community Concierge is responsible for greeting residents and prospects promptly and professionally, managing communication channels such as phone calls, and overseeing logistical aspects including move-ins and move-outs coordination. By ensuring common areas and amenities are maintained with high standards of cleanliness and functionality, the Concierge helps create an inviting environment that residents can be proud of.
Beyond daily tasks, the Community Concierge champions the company’s values by serving as a journey visionary, collaborating with on-site teams to prioritize and implement solutions that enhance resident engagement metrics. This role requires a blend of passion, innovation, and organizational skills to plan and execute community activities and programs effectively. Strong communication abilities are crucial as the Concierge interacts with residents, prospective residents, associates, and industry stakeholders, embodying the organization’s culture and values in every engagement.
The Community Concierge also assumes project and change management responsibilities, guiding cross-functional teams through new initiatives and maintaining clear plans to achieve successful outcomes. Being actively involved within the community represents a fundamental aspect of the role, encouraging participation in local industry groups and fostering a sense of pride and belonging in the neighborhoods served. This outward-facing focus positions the Concierge as both an internal team player and an ambassador of the company’s presence in the real estate marketplace.
Education and experience criteria include a high school diploma or GED, paired with a background in sales, marketing, internet, and customer service, enabling the Concierge to manage resident concerns professionally while handling administrative tasks accurately. Proficiency in property management software, particularly Entrata, along with general computer and internet skills, is essential to meet the technological demands of the position.
Physically, the role demands mobility and manual dexterity, requiring the ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, and occasionally lift weights up to 20 pounds independently or 50 pounds with help. The position may also necessitate local travel for training or market research, adding variety and growth opportunities for the successful candidate. Ultimately, the Community Concierge serves as a key contributor to the property’s reputation and operational success by offering exemplary service, fostering community spirit, and supporting the management team’s goals consistently.
