The Concierge role at MBK Senior Living is an essential frontline position that ensures every resident, visitor, family member, and professional receives a warm welcome and outstanding service experience. In this part-time role, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with a pay rate between $18.75 and $19.25 per hour, the Concierge serves as the community's primary point of contact. This position plays a critical role in shaping first impressions, facilitating effective communication, and supporting the community's daily operations. Responsibilities include warmly greeting all visitors, managing incoming calls, coordinating tours and inquiries, responding to resident and family requests, and maintaining a safe, organized environment. The Concierge must be friendly, professional, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, hospitality-driven environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and committed to upholding MBK’s core values of service excellence and compassionate care. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must complete required background clearance, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment
- Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, and guests
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions and manage stressful or emergency situations
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a busy, dynamic environment
- Must possess strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working with basic computer and phone systems
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push up to 250 pounds, and assist in physical movement of residents
- Mobility to perform physical requirements including walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, pulling, lifting overhead, and repetitive motion
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or front-desk roles preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to speak, write, and read English proficiently
- Positive, polished, and professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable with basic computer systems, phone systems, and office equipment
- Ability to manage stressful or emergency situations calmly
- Passion for helping others and delivering excellent service
Job Duties
- Greet residents, families, visitors, and prospects with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Support sales by directing inquiries, welcoming tours, and creating a positive experience
- Answer and direct incoming calls promptly and courteously
- Respond to questions and requests from residents and families, coordinating with other departments as needed
- Maintain knowledge of daily activities, events, and resident services to share information proactively
- Assist with administrative tasks including logging messages, distributing mail and packages, and maintaining a welcoming reception area
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies
- Promote teamwork and open communication in alignment with MBK principles
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by leadership
