The Concierge role at Cogir Senior Living is a pivotal position charged with reflecting the company’s values of exceptional service and community engagement. As the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and vendors, the Concierge plays an essential role in creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. This individual is responsible for managing the front desk operations efficiently and professionally, providing assistance with inquiries, coordinating resident services, and supporting administrative functions to ensure smooth community operations.

This full-time position places great importance on customer service excellence and interpersonal skills, requiring the Concierge to be approachable, organized, and proactive. The Concierge must not only greet everyone arriving at the community with warmth and respect but also handle telephone communications, manage visitor logs, assist with scheduling transportation and activities, and address resident concerns thoughtfully. Furthermore, administrative support including data entry, order management, and assisting management with clerical tasks enhances the Concierge’s contribution to the team.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service or front desk experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Good organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and friendly demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6-12 months of previous customer service or front desk experience in a hotel, retirement community, or office setting
  • Working knowledge of various computer systems, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Patience and willingness to assist residents, visitors, and team members
  • Friendly, assertive, professional, outgoing, multitasked, and organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

Job Duties

  • Answer a multi-line telephone, directing calls and inquiries as needed
  • Greet all families, residents, guests, and vendors with a smile
  • Maintain outside visitor logs and monitor access to the community
  • Assist residents with scheduling transportation, activities, or appointments
  • Support management with administrative tasks, such as data entry, scheduling, or light clerical work
  • Order office supplies
  • Address resident concerns or questions and escalate issues to management when necessary
  • Complete work order requests
