Job Description
Our hiring establishment is a reputable community care company dedicated to providing exceptional living experiences, with an emphasis on service excellence and compassionate care, particularly for the geriatric population. This type of company typically offers residential living, assisted living, or memory care services designed to foster a warm and welcoming environment for its residents and their families. We operate in a professional, fast-paced yet supportive atmosphere where team members collaborate closely to enhance the quality of life for all stakeholders. The core values revolve around caring for people, integrity, passion, open communication, ownership, and respect, which are deeply embedded in both the culture and daily operations of the company.
The position we are offering is for a Concierge, an essential front-of-house role that serves as the initial point of contact for all guests, visitors, vendors, and staff entering the community. This role is crucial for maintaining positive public relations through professional demeanor and courteous interaction. The Concierge is responsible for supporting the Community Leadership Team by assisting with various administrative functions aimed at ensuring smooth day-to-day community operations. Working every other weekend from 8 AM to 3 PM with occasional evening shifts, this role demands flexibility and reliability.
As the face of the community, the Concierge will greet visitors warmly, assist them by providing directions and information, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere in the front lobby. Additionally, the Concierge manages communication by answering and routing telephone calls with efficiency and professionalism, taking detailed messages, and disseminating important information to relevant staff members. Typing memos, correspondence, and reports, sorting and distributing mail, and handling various administrative tasks are also key components of this position.
The Concierge must exhibit strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating tact, courtesy, and excellent communication capabilities with residents, families, staff, and management. Handling sensitive information confidentially and maintaining the community's image with an organized and clean front desk and lobby area are critical to the role. The position requires physical and mental stamina and the ability to remain calm and responsible during emergency situations. The ideal candidate will possess a spirit of cooperation, enthusiasm, and a commitment to upholding the company’s core values.
Moreover, the Concierge will play a vital role in community engagement by providing tours and information to prospective residents and their families, helping to create a friendly and supportive environment that highlights the community's services and amenities. This role also functions as a Culture Ambassador, modeling company values and inspiring colleagues to embody these principles, thereby fostering a positive workplace culture and driving a strong sales culture at the community level. Attendance at company meetings and training sessions is mandatory to stay aligned with organizational goals and enhance personal development.
