Job Description
The hiring establishment is a reputable community living facility dedicated to providing a welcoming and supportive environment primarily for the geriatric population. This company is committed to excellence in service, creating a warm, professional atmosphere for residents, visitors, and vendors alike. The establishment emphasizes core values such as caring about people, doing the right thing, passion, having fun, celebrating success, speaking up responsibly, taking ownership, adding value, and being respectful. The company culture is designed to foster collaboration, respect, and enthusiasm among its staff while maintaining the highest standards of service and confidentiality. This position is part-time, requiring work every other weekend, which allows for a flexible schedule while playing an essential front-facing role within the community.
The Concierge role is a critical front-of-house position that serves as the initial point of contact for guests, visitors, and vendors arriving at the community. It demands a courteous, professional demeanor and an impeccable appearance to uphold positive public relations. The Concierge will work closely with the Community Leadership Team to ensure the smooth operation of administrative activities within the community. This position requires someone with a genuine interest in people—particularly the elderly—who can manage multiple tasks effectively without close supervision.
The Concierge’s responsibilities include greeting guests and visitors, assisting them in finding resident rooms, answering and managing calls on a multi-line telephone system, and handling messages accurately. They also play an important role in communicating efficiently with staff regarding appointments and arrivals and performing various clerical tasks, such as typing memos and correspondence. Confidentiality is paramount, so the Concierge must adhere strictly to protocols that protect resident information.
Beyond routine duties, the Concierge acts as a cultural ambassador, modeling the company’s core values and encouraging all personnel to embody these principles at all times. This includes fostering a sales-driven culture within the community and ensuring the front desk and lobby area are inviting and well-maintained. Attention to detail, tact, and courtesy are necessary qualities for success in this role, especially during emergency situations where calmness and sound judgment are required.
This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working with diverse populations, and values contributing to a caring community setting. With opportunities for professional growth and engagement in a meaningful work environment, the position offers a chance to make a positive impact while developing valuable administrative and interpersonal skills. The employer seeks conscientious candidates who uphold the community’s standards and are eager to contribute their talents in a supportive team environment.
