The role of Concierge at Hollywood Park Casino is pivotal in delivering excellent guest service by assisting Player's Club Members and ensuring a seamless and positive experience. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, managing communications, assisting with logistical needs such as package deliveries and transportation arrangements, and maintaining detailed records related to lost and found items and player registrations. The Concierge also plays a critical role in promoting Player's Club memberships and keeping guests informed about promotions, events, and local attractions.

Physical stamina is essential for this role, as it involves moderate physical exertion including standing or sitting for extended periods, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and performing actions like crouching, bending, and reaching. Flexibility in scheduling is also crucial, with the ability to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and special events. This ensures continuous support to guests and smooth casino operations. The Concierge must adhere strictly to all legal and regulatory requirements as well as internal policies regarding timekeeping, safety, and human resources.

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner in person and on the telephone
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Answer and route public and employee telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner
  • Assist with package deliveries and route delivered items
  • Ensure customer needs are met by giving direction, suggestion and by channeling concerns
  • Fill out forms, maintain logs and carry out activities related to guests lost and found items and cellular phone charging
  • Operate the Casino Poker Board by registering players for games, announcing available seats, answering general questions and communicating with floor staff and dealer coordinator
  • Provide information on the geographical area, suggest site-seeing spots and arrange tours
  • Arrange transportation and lodging needs for guests
  • Secure luggage or personal effects for guests while at the casino
  • Promote and distribute Player's Club membership forms to customers
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Player's Club
  • Scan guests' cards on the casino floor for accurate tracking
  • Keep appraised of all current and upcoming casino promotions and special events and communicate them to players to encourage participation
  • Assist in all other duties and special projects as assigned by Concierge Supervisor, Shift Manager, and upper management
  • Strictly adhere to all HPC timekeeping rules and procedures
  • Adhere to all department, Human Resources and Safety policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
