The company's reputation is built upon not only the innovative solutions and comprehensive services it offers but also the remarkable individuals who form its team. With a foundation rooted in diversity and inclusion, Tarian continuously fosters innovation and excellence, enabling the company to grow and succeed in a dynamic marketplace. The organization firmly believes in the power of people to drive positive change, creating environments where safety and security serve as pillars for success and meaningful impact. At Tarian, employment is more than a job; it is a career path filled with purpose and fulfillment. Joining Tarian means becoming part of a mission dedicated to safeguarding communities, organizations, and individuals, empowering them to realize their full potential and thrive.

The Security Officer role at Tarian is pivotal in maintaining safe and secure environments across various sites and venues. This position involves direct responsibility for providing protective services, assisting guests and employees, and responding promptly to incidents, always upholding Tarian's commitment to safety and security. Employees in this role are members of a diverse and inclusive team that embodies the core values and culture of both Tarian and its clients.

Compensation for this part-time position starts at $21 per hour, with opportunities for shift differentials that range from an additional $1 to $5 per hour. The role requires working approximately 16 hours per week, making it an excellent option for those seeking flexible employment with meaningful impact. Tarian offers robust role-specific on-the-job training, ensuring team members develop the necessary skills and knowledge to excel. Moreover, the company presents clear career progression paths, supporting long-term growth and professional development.

Security Officers at Tarian will carry out a wide range of duties including monitoring and authorizing the entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons; patrolling designated areas to ensure protection and compliance with house rules; operating metal detectors to prevent unauthorized items from entering restricted zones; and providing accommodation and assistance to guests with special needs. Officers are also expected to engage with guests courteously, relay venue information such as directions to restrooms and concession stands, and enforce safety protocols proactively.

This position involves active collaboration with team members, especially during event closures where responsibilities include collecting recyclables and properly storing event equipment like chairs and barricades. Reporting on daily activities, incidents, irregularities, equipment or property damage, and unauthorized access is essential to maintaining thorough documentation for operational and security purposes.

Work environment demands can vary significantly, ranging from fast-paced, high-pressure situations to more tranquil settings. The role requires physical stamina and mental acuity, as officers must stand or walk for entire shifts, use hands to handle objects, climb stairs, and occasionally lift objects over 25 pounds. Vision capabilities such as color recognition, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are critical to performing duties effectively.

Tarian offers an attractive benefits package that enhances the overall employment experience. This includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; supplemental medical reimbursement plans; paid time off and holidays; a 401k plan with free retirement planning consultation; short-term and long-term disability income protection; life insurance for both teammates and their families; and an employee assistance program. Further perks include recognition and rewards programs, wellness initiatives, and discount programs offering free classes that range from yoga to financial wellness. The company also provides pet insurance, underscoring its commitment to supporting employees holistically.

As an equal opportunity employer, Tarian is dedicated to fostering a workplace that welcomes individuals of all backgrounds, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
