The Concierge position at Ivy Park at Los Gatos is a vital role within the administration department, focusing on delivering first-class customer service and operational support to the community. This role requires a professional who can greet visitors warmly, handle resident requests efficiently, and contribute to the smooth running of daily administrative functions. The Concierge will frequently interact with residents, their families, visitors, and team members, requiring excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor. Responsibilities include managing multi-line telephone systems, monitoring the Emergency Alert System, managing business center operations, processing mail, and maintaining a secure and safe environment for everyone in the community.
This is a part-time role that operates Tuesday through Saturday, offering a pay range of $18.50 to $20 per hour. The position is ideal for candidates who bring prior hospitality experience or senior living community exposure and have the ability to function effectively in a dynamic and supportive team environment. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in hospitality or senior living community preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and health screenings
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety protocols including vaccinations and PPE use
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer two (2) years of experience in a hospitality setting or prior senior living community
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
- For the health and safety of team members and residents, willingness to comply with vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and PPE usage per regulatory guidelines
Job Duties
- Provide all residents, guests, and visitors with exceptional customer service
- Answer telephones, record, and/or direct calls to appropriate individuals in a timely, clear, concise, and professional manner
- Monitor the Emergency Alert System and immediately respond to every call
- Effectively manage business center and process incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
- Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
