At Discovery Village Stone Oak, part of the Discovery Management Group family, the role of Concierge is pivotal in shaping the first impressions and daily experiences of residents, families, guests, and team members. This part-time position, scheduled primarily during weekends and rotating weekdays from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., is based at 21802 Encino Commons, San Antonio, Texas. As a Concierge, you will be the welcoming face and voice of the community, responsible for managing communications professionally and courteously and supporting resident services that help enhance daily living.

This role requires a warm, organized, and professional individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork and integrity. The Concierge will handle duties such as telephone answering, greeting residents and visitors, coordinating appointments, managing communication logs, and assisting with marketing materials. Additionally, they play an essential role in maintaining the orderliness and positive atmosphere of the front desk and entry areas, reinforcing the community’s standards of excellence.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three years of customer service, reception, or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using phones, email, and office systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent the community positively

Job Duties

  • Perform telephone answering and reception duties, managing internal and external calls professionally and courteously
  • Take accurate, detailed messages and ensure timely communication to the appropriate recipient
  • Greet residents, families, and visitors warmly
  • respond to inquiries and provide directions as needed
  • Collate brochures and support marketing materials as requested
  • Prepare meal tickets for team members and family members
  • tally meal count sheets for Dining Services
  • Maintain and update resident phone lists, rosters, move-in and move-out registers, guest logs, and sign-in sheets
  • Coordinate and manage resident and family appointments including transportation, salon services, and other community resources
  • Keep the front desk and entry areas clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
  • Sort, organize, and distribute mail to residents, the Executive Director, and department coordinators
  • Maintain resident forms related to miscellaneous credits
  • Follow all company personnel policies, operating procedures, and confidentiality requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
