The role of Concierge at Sunrise of Schaumburg is essential as the initial point of contact and first impression for residents, families, and visitors. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a crucial part in the community's welcoming atmosphere by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. The Concierge is responsible for greeting guests with warmth and professionalism, managing calls, facilitating communication, and ensuring smooth coordination between residents, families, and staff. This role supports the Director of Sales and Executive Director by handling inquiries, assisting with recruitment processes, and maintaining an inviting environment in the community's front desk and bistro areas.
In addition to customer service, the Concierge undertakes important sales and marketing duties such as managing marketing materials and supporting the move-in process. They are responsible for administrative tasks including data entry, organizing mail, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and community policies. The Concierge also plays a vital role in risk management by monitoring community safety protocols, maintaining resident rosters, and managing emergency procedures.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in customer service
- basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

Job Duties
- Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents
- contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents and families
- greet potential candidates and assist with recruitment process
- answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls promptly
- take and communicate messages appropriately
- provide community overview to callers and direct calls to appropriate personnel
- manage appointments for residents and families
- send get well and sympathy cards
- order flowers and nameplates for new residents
- order guest meals on move-in day
- maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
- support Director of Sales with lead tracking and inquiries
- keep front desk and bistro areas neat and stocked
- monitor and restock snacks and beverages in Bistro
- ensure music plays throughout the day
- ensure safety protocols and risk management compliance
- partner with community team for safety and emergency procedures
- maintain resident and team member rosters
- respond to emergencies
- manage guest sign-in and out
- update resident lists and logs
- prepare and tally meal tickets
- manage meal ticket money
- organize and distribute mail and newspapers
- post daily menu
- assist with recruitment data entry
- track and disperse team member paychecks
- actively participate in team meetings and engagement programs
- maintain required training compliance
- perform other assigned duties
