The Concierge role at Sunrise Senior Living is a vital position that serves as the first point of contact for potential residents, their families, and visitors. As the welcoming face of the community, the Concierge ensures a warm and professional greeting and manages communications efficiently. This position supports both the Director of Sales and the Executive Director by providing community information and handling administrative tasks and recruitment assistance. The Concierge plays an essential role in maintaining the welcoming atmosphere of the community, including overseeing the bistro area and monitoring cleanliness and ambiance.
In their duties, the Concierge is responsible for greeting guests, answering calls accurately within two to three rings, managing appointments, sending condolence and get-well cards, and supporting event logistics related to resident move-ins. Additionally, the Concierge contributes to sales and marketing efforts by tracking inquiries and managing move-in materials. Maintaining a safe and secure environment is paramount in this role, requiring the Concierge to adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, including emergency procedures and visitor sign-in processes.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven customer service experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must pass drug test and background check
- Completion of physical evaluation and tuberculosis test
- Compliance with Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination requirements if applicable
- Must understand safety and regulatory compliance if driving a Sunrise vehicle
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents
- Extend a warm welcome and greeting
- Offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests
- Ensure community safety protocols are in place
- Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet prospective residents, families, or visitors
- Answer incoming telephone and resident calls within two to three rings using the appropriate greeting
- Take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate to intended recipients
- Manage appointments for residents and family members
- Send get well and sympathy cards to residents and families
- Order flowers, name plates, and guest meals for resident move-ins
- Maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
- Support sales and marketing efforts by handling inquiry calls and helping with lead tracking
- Keep front desk and bistro area neat and organized
- Monitor bistro cleanliness, refreshments, and music
- Ensure coverage of front desk when away
- Partner with community team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Practice safety procedures including use of PPE and emergency protocols
- Maintain resident and team member rosters and work schedules for emergencies
- Champion safe leaving program and maintain high-risk elopement list
- Update resident phone lists, guest logs, and move-in/move-out registers
- Prepare and process meal tickets and money
- Organize and distribute mail and newspapers
- Assist with recruitment by performing data entry and administrative duties
- Monitor and order office supplies
- Track and disperse team member paychecks
- Participate actively in team goals and company meetings
- Maintain compliance with required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
