The Concierge role at Atria Senior Living is a vital position that serves as the first point of contact for residents and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment. This role involves a diverse range of responsibilities, from handling resident requests and telephone inquiries to coordinating services such as transportation, dining reservations, and entertainment tickets. The Concierge is expected to maintain a high standard of care and attention to detail, including keeping common areas clean and inviting, and serving as a liaison between residents and various departments within the community. This position requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to multitask efficiently. The Concierge may also supervise front desk staff and drivers, assist with security duties, and occasionally drive company vehicles to social outings. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • one to three years related experience and/or training
  • basic First Aid and CPR certification where required
  • ability to work various schedules and shifts
  • ability to operate telephone and emergency call system
  • ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions
  • ability to perform basic math operations
  • good communication skills
  • reliable and customer service oriented

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • basic First Aid and CPR certification where required
  • successful completion of all Atria specified training programs
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
  • ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables
  • ability to work various schedules and shifts as needed
  • able to operate telephone, emergency call system, monitoring board or beeper, and photocopier

Job Duties

  • Serves as point of contact for all resident requests and telephone calls except emergencies
  • coordinates services for residents and their family members
  • maintains high standards of customer service
  • answers questions about local stores, attractions, and services
  • ensures lobby and common areas are clean and welcoming
  • coordinates community transportation schedule
  • serves as liaison between dining room and residents
