Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one to three years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- basic First Aid and CPR certification as required
- ability to complete all specified training successfully
- proficiency in reading and writing simple correspondence
- effective communication skills
- basic math competency
- problem-solving abilities in routine standardized situations
- flexibility to work varied schedules and shifts
- ability to operate office equipment including telephone, emergency systems, and photocopier
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- basic First Aid and CPR certification where required
- successful completion of all Atria specified training programs
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- ability to write simple correspondence
- ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with tens and hundreds
- ability to follow detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- problem-solving skills for standardized situations
- ability to work various schedules and shifts
- proficiency operating telephone, emergency call system, monitoring board or beeper, and photocopier
Job Duties
- Serves as point of contact for all resident requests and telephone calls except emergencies
- coordinates services for residents and their family members including dry cleaning, grocery and drug store delivery, dinner reservations, beauty parlor services, theater and movie tickets, and transportation services
- maintains high standards of customer service by meeting new residents and explaining concierge services, tracking concerns and complaints, and liaising with department managers
- answers questions regarding local stores, attractions, and services
- ensures lobby and first floor common areas and restrooms are clean and welcoming, including managing background music and floral arrangements
- coordinates community transportation schedules, schedules appointments, and assists with alternative transportation
- serves as liaison between dining room and residents by accepting guest meal reservations and maintaining RSVP lists for events
- may supervise front desk reception staff and drivers
- maintains knowledge of security, door attendant, and receptionist roles and provides coverage as needed
- may drive company vehicle to social and other destinations if required
- performs other duties as assigned
