The role within the JW Marriott Anaheim is centered around providing exceptional guest services to enhance the overall visitor experience. As a guest services assistant, your primary responsibility will be to assist with diverse guest needs, ranging from planning visits to coordinating special activities and providing essential information about hotel amenities and local attractions. This hands-on position plays a crucial role in delivering memorable guest interactions by addressing requests promptly and efficiently, thereby adding value to the guests’ stay. Responsibilities also include assisting guests with dining, entertainment reservations, recreational activities, and transportation arrangements, making the role dynamic and engaging on a day-to-day basis.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience in public contact or guest service role
  • Availability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in English

Job Duties

  • Communicate and assist guests with visit planning including reservations for dining, entertainment, sports events, recreation, tours, health and beauty, childcare, transportation, cultural activities, shopping, decor packages, amenity delivery, and other services
  • Provide directions to hotel facilities or events
  • Coordinate special guest activities such as daily welcome drink and family activities
  • Notify and assist guests of receipt of mail, messages, and packages
  • Maintain current information and materials regarding hotel, services, and attractions
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • Perform any other job duties as assigned
