Job Description
Delaware North Sportservice is a renowned hospitality and food service company with a rich legacy spanning over 100 years. As a family-owned global business, Delaware North operates in many sectors such as restaurants, hotels, sports venues, casinos, and national parks. Within the sports and entertainment segment, the company is widely recognized for managing concessions and premium dining services at major venues. One of their notable locations is EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida, home to the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars. Since 2016, Delaware North has been synonymous with unique and imaginative food and beverage offerings at EverBank Stadium, incorporating creative elements like teal-colored buns and themed ice cream that celebrate the team spirit and enhance the overall fan experience.
Delaware North prides itself on its people-centered approach, emphasizing personal and professional development. The organization values diversity and inclusion, ensuring it considers applicants for all positions regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, or other protected statuses. It offers flexible work schedules and a supportive environment that nurtures growth and success. Whether interested in part-time or full-time roles across various hospitality domains, Delaware North provides opportunities that align with individual career goals and aspirations.
The position of Concessions Supervisor is a seasonal role based at EverBank Stadium. The hourly pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00, reflecting the company’s commitment to competitive compensation. As a Concessions Supervisor, you will lead a team of concessions staff during game day events, ensuring that guests receive outstanding service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy an exciting and energetic work atmosphere and want to be part of the exhilarating game day action.
In this supervisory capacity, you are responsible for managing team members by assigning duties, assisting with training, and fostering an environment that meets high standards of customer satisfaction. You will be expected to address and resolve complaints related to food quality, service, and accommodations effectively. Managing labor costs, minimizing profit loss, and ensuring the accuracy of cash handling and tip record-keeping are critical components of your responsibilities.
Additionally, the role requires you to be hands-on when necessary, assisting guests, stocking shelves, counting inventory, and performing cashier duties. The Concessions Supervisor must be adaptable, able to work in variable outdoor temperatures depending on the event season, and meet physical demands such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Delaware North offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to ensure employee comfort, safety, and security. Team members receive weekly pay, access to training and development opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible schedules. Eligible employees can also benefit from health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid vacation and holidays, parental bonding leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement.
Joining Delaware North as a Concessions Supervisor is not only about performing a job; it’s about becoming part of a global legacy built on hospitality excellence. The role promises a rewarding experience for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional guest service. With Delaware North, you have the opportunity to grow your career in a company that supports your ambitions and values your contributions.
