The position of Concessions Supervisor at Sodexo entails overseeing event-based concession operations at the University of Florida Athletics venues. This on-call, part-time role offers a pay range of $14 to $16 per hour and requires working varying shifts, with open availability preferred. The Concessions Supervisor ensures the smooth and efficient service delivery across multiple concession stands, kiosks, portable locations, and autonomous retail concepts during athletic events. They play a vital leadership role by managing staffing, supervising service flow, maintaining inventory awareness, and resolving operational issues promptly to guarantee compliance with company standards.

In this fast-paced and high-volume environment, the Concessions Supervisor serves as the critical link between frontline staff and unit leadership, ensuring speed of service, safety, cleanliness, and adherence to all policies. The supervisor also actively participates in team onboarding and training processes, conducts pre-event briefings to communicate expectations clearly, and handles guest concerns with professionalism. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in concessions, food service, or event-based operations required
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to supervise alcohol sales based on local and state regulations
  • Must maintain a valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification, and comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements
  • A food handler certification may be required based on state or local regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee concession stands, kiosks, portable locations, and walk-out or autonomous retail stores as applicable
  • Assign staff to concession locations and adjust coverage based on volume and operational needs
  • Conduct pre-event or pre-shift briefings to review expectations, menus, service standards, and assignments
  • Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues to management as needed
  • Support onboarding and training of concession staff and leads
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
