Job Description
The opportunity to work during the FIFA World Cup games is a unique and exciting role offered by a reputable food service operation that adheres to high standards of food preparation and customer service. This establishment takes pride in delivering excellent dining experiences that are compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local food safety regulations. Employees who join the team will partake in a dynamic and fast-paced environment fueled by the energy of one of the world's most celebrated sporting events, the FIFA World Cup. The position requires individuals who are not only skilled in culinary arts but also committed to professionalism, reliability, and teamwork during critical event dates.
This Cook role is specifically designed to support the operational demands of the FIFA World Cup shifts scheduled for June 19, June 22, June 25, and July 1. Candidates must successfully complete a background check, which will be facilitated through a link sent to their email upon application, ensuring a safe and secure workplace for all staff and guests. Working on these high-profile dates demonstrates an opportunity to be part of a memorable international event where food service plays a key role in the fan experience.
The responsibilities will range from food preparation to customer service, requiring proficiency in essential culinary skills such as dicing, chopping, and slicing. Maintaining proper cooking temperatures and adhering strictly to the dress code, including wearing a chef hat and coat (not provided) and black non-slip shoes (required), are critical elements of this position. Beyond technical abilities, professionalism and reliability within a collaborative team environment are essential qualities for success.
Throughout the shifts, cooks will be expected to prepare food according to recipes, ensure food safety and temperature standards, and maintain cleanliness of the cooking station. They will work with cooking appliances and utensils safely and provide friendly, helpful customer service to enhance the overall guest experience. Additional duties include assisting in ordering and receiving food products, which supports the kitchen's smooth operation, especially during busy periods where standing for long durations is necessary.
This role also aligns with fair employment practices, considering applicants with arrest or conviction records in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act. Such policies reinforce the company’s commitment to equal opportunity and a diverse workforce engaged in providing outstanding service during the FIFA World Cup games.
