We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our kitchen leadership team. This in-office role commands a salary range of $125,000 to $150,000 annually, reflecting the importance of the position within our company. The Executive Chef will efficiently supervise, guide, and train kitchen associates to ensure quality food production for both restaurants and banquets with keen attention to timing, portion control, food quality, and adherence to sanitation and cleanliness standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling, evaluating, and directing the entire kitchen staff, including utility, sanitation, and employee cafeteria personnel. They will enforce disciplinary measures when necessary to maintain a professional and effective working environment.

This leadership role also involves maintaining appropriate inventories of supplies and materials, establishing and reviewing performance standards for food preparation, purchasing, and production to ensure coordinated and controlled operations. The Executive Chef will monitor sanitation, cleanliness, and organization in food and beverage areas, ensuring compliance with company policies and health regulations. Furthermore, the role requires responsibility for meeting cost goals related to food costs, kitchen labor, and associated expenses, thereby contributing to the financial success of the culinary department.

The candidate for this position will have at least three years of Executive Chef experience, including demonstrated success in menu design and recipe creation. Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to food handling and production is essential. A high level of work ethic, self-initiative, and strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite are expected. The position requires flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences.

This Executive Chef position is based in a standard office environment with ergonomic considerations for prolonged desk work. Candidates should be comfortable with frequent computer use for 6-8 hours a day, including keyboarding, typing, and using office equipment. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary to successfully manage staff and coordinate with other departments. Job Duties

  • Efficiently supervise, guide and train kitchen associates to provide quality food production focusing on timing, portions, food quality and sanitation
  • Schedule, evaluate, supervise and direct all kitchen personnel including utility and sanitation as well as employee cafeteria staff
  • Provide disciplinary action when necessary
  • Ensure appropriate inventory of supplies and materials needed for associates
  • Establish, direct and review performance standards in food preparation, purchasing and production
