The Coffee Shop Manager role is a leadership position integral to maintaining the high standards and positive energy within the coffee shop. In this role, you will lead a team of student baristas, oversee daily operations, manage inventory, schedule shifts, and ensure a top-notch experience for both employees and guests. This position requires someone passionate about coffee culture, team building, and operational excellence. You will be accountable for recruiting, training, and mentoring your team to foster confidence and skill development while managing the day-to-day activities needed to keep the café running smoothly.

As Coffee Shop Manager, you will personally engage in shift management including opening and closing duties, cash handling, and performance tracking. Your leadership will energize the team during peak hours and create a culture of inclusivity and engagement. The role also involves maintaining equipment, managing supply orders to prevent overages, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation policies. Occasional travel may be required. This position reports directly to the National Beverage Director and supervises baristas. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of leadership experience in coffee, food and beverage, or hospitality settings, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting 25+ lbs and standing for extended periods. Experience in college cafés, student housing environments or startup coffee shops, as well as event planning or community engagement, is highly desirable.
